audience feedback

for my audience feedback i asked ten girls of my target audience to complete a quesionnaire about my magazine; overall my feedback was really good. here are some of the responses i receieved:


1. what does the title 'touch' suggest to you?


"that it is a magazine that catches your eye and demands you to touch it and read it."
"that the magazine touches up on the lastest gossip and music."
"that it is intouch with all celeb gossip and music."
"a sense of personal reaction, response if you read this magazine."
"to make you want to touch/purchase the magazine."


2.  what genre/type of music does the magazine focus on and how do you know this?


"r'n'b, because of the well known r'n'b artists who are included."
"r'n'b, the artists on the front page are popular r'n'b artists."
"r'n'b, because you can tell by the style of magazine."
"r'n'b, as the main story is about the new lady of r'n'b which gives it away."
"r'n'b, simply because of the artists included inside the magazine."


3. what makes the pages look professional and what stops them from looking professional?


"the layout of each page looks very professional."
"the colour scheme, photographs and the text all look professional."
"the photographs are good which makes it look professional."
"the photographs look professional and the article also sounds and looks professional."
"the composition of the magazine front cover and the photographs that have been taken look professional."


4. how genuine does the front cover seem?


"pretty genuine, the editing of the images are convincing."
"the barcode makes the magazine look genuine and the magazine looks just like an actual magazine."
"really genuine, as it looks exactly like a real magazine."
" the barcode and price makes it seem genuine."
"it looks genuine because of the layout, the photographs, title, different font styles and colour."


5. does the contents page simply inform or does it also manage to interest you in reading the rest of the magazine?


"it informs, but tells you about the magazine because of the photos that have been included. also gives you a small insight to what each page holds."
"it informs but it also interests me to read on as the photos make it look interesting."
"the contents does inform but includes photos also and a short line trying to indulge readers but it could do with more persuading."
"it informs you of the contents of the magazine as well as interesting the reader and making you want to read on."

6. does the article sound like a piece of journalism? if not what bits dont sound right?


"the interview sounds really realistic and in my opinion the journalism is good. i would definatly but this magazine i wanted to read more."

"yes it sounds like a piece of jouralism as the article seems very professional."
"it definately sounds like jouralism, purely because it advertises the new artist really well."
"the interview is realistic and grabs your attention straight away.


7. does the article layout make you want to read it? if not why not?


"it makes me want to read on because the layout makes it look like there is so much to read and find out."
"the layout is modern and grabs your attention when you look at it."
"yes it does because the quotes make me want to find out what she is going on about."
"yes because of the large photo on the right, the article looks minimal and easy to read."
"yes, the layout is good, fresh, modern and up to date with those magazines you seen on the shelf everyday."
